Business Intelligence (BI)

BI uses data analysis, reporting, and AI to provide actionable insights into a business's performance, helping owners make better decisions.

Business Intelligence (BI) platforms collect data from various sources within a small business (sales, marketing, operations, finance) and transform it into understandable reports, dashboards, and visualizations. While not exclusively AI, modern BI tools often incorporate AI to uncover hidden patterns, trends, and anomalies that might not be obvious from raw data. This allows business owners to quickly understand their key performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and react strategically to market changes or operational challenges. It empowers data-driven decision-making without needing a data scientist.

Example

A retail store owner uses a BI dashboard that shows real-time sales performance, inventory levels, and customer traffic patterns across different locations, helping them optimize staffing and product placement daily.
