Editorial Policy

Our mission
The Small Business AI Bible exists to give small business owners accurate, practical, and timely information about AI tools and automation. We measure success by whether our readers can act on what they read — not by pageviews, affiliate commissions, or sponsored placement.
Topic selection
Topics are selected based on: (1) demonstrated search demand from SMB owners, (2) AI engine query patterns, (3) gaps in existing coverage, and (4) reader-submitted questions. We do not take payment to cover topics. We do not publish press releases as news without independent verification.
Content production and review
Much of our content is AI-assisted. AI tools draft articles from structured briefs prepared by our editorial team. Every published piece then follows this review process:
- Automated fact-check pass against cited sources
- Originality check (no content republished from third parties)
- Human editorial review — final approval required for all long-form, comparison, and opinion content
- Schema and metadata validation
News roundups, glossary definitions, and Q&A pages may auto-publish after passing automated checks. They are marked with an "AI-assisted · human-reviewed" disclosure and are checked by the editorial team within 24 hours of publication.
Opinion and bylined pieces are always written or substantially edited by a named human and carry that person's byline. They are never AI-generated.
Independence and conflicts of interest
This publication is published by Empire Unified Systems, which also develops AI-powered tools for small businesses. We have a written policy on how Empire products appear in editorial content:
- Empire products are only mentioned when genuinely relevant to the article's topic
- If an Empire product appears in a comparison or "best of" article, at least two competitor products must appear in the same paragraph
- No sponsored placements in editorial content — ever
- Affiliate links (when used) are clearly disclosed and never color editorial judgment
Corrections
We correct errors promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with the date and nature of the change. Material corrections are logged in our public corrections record.
To submit a correction, use our contact form.
Content freshness
Every article has a "last reviewed" date displayed at the top. Comparison pages and "best of" lists are reviewed every 30–90 days. Stale pages are queued automatically for refresh. If you notice outdated information, let us know.
Advertising and sponsorship
We do not currently run display advertising. The newsletter may include a single sponsor slot per issue; sponsor content is clearly labeled. Editorial decisions are never influenced by advertising relationships.
